Job Description Summary The Marketing and Communications Advertising Assistant liaises between outside advertising vendors and the Operations and Integrated Marketing team to support the regional and online campus expansion plan. Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing and Operations, this individual will evaluate advertisement opportunities with internal resources and pace reports for undergraduate and graduate programs to support strategic marketing efforts with the objective of growing enrollment and building brand awareness in regional locations throughout Southern California. The advertising assistant will coordinate insertion orders, paperwork for purchase orders and check requests, documentation in the project management system, and hand off final deliverables to the vendor. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in progress in communications and marketing. Open to considering majors from other fields. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Google Apps, and similar cloud-based platforms. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Strategic and analytical thinker; ability to adapt in dynamic environment; strong customer service-oriented skills; action-oriented; detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills; positive collegial attitude; high level of professionalism; and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment. Must be a current University of La Verne student. Additional Information This is an internship position, ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in marketing and communications within higher education.
