Industry Investment Management Type Privately Held About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Energy Origination and Marketing to lead our commercial strategy and execution for the firm and its portfolio of independent power producer companies. This critical role will focus on developing and managing off-take agreements for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and storage. The successful candidate will: Drive market entry and assess power fundamentals. Manage the complete cycle of origination and execution of off-take agreements. Sustain proactive sourcing and structuring of power purchase agreements. Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring terms align with the company's financial objectives. Collaborate closely with development, finance, and operations teams to validate the feasibility and commercialization of projects. Candidates should have: A Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the US renewable energy sector. At least 5 years in negotiating and finalizing PPAs and other energy contracts. A robust network of industry contacts and an in-depth understanding of energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in high-growth or start-up environments and a strong familiarity with RFP creation and response. Expertise in wholesale power markets and products.
