Job DescriptionViridian Staffing's Client is looking for a hands-on Marketing Director to help bridge the gap between marketing and channel sales for a fast-moving CBD / Cannabis company. This position is based in Miami, Florida, and/or Greater Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area; however for a candidate with proven strategic marketing/branding success in the CBD market, our Client may consider a remote arrangement. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the premier Talent Acquisition & Talent Management firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis/hemp industry.In addition to developing and executing a cohesive brand strategy, you will leverage your distribution, smoke shop, convenience, and gas channel experience to create engaging, multi-channel trade and retail sales programs that support go-to-market objectives, grow brand awareness, and strengthen relationships with key retail and distribution partners. You'll help define brand goals, craft proactive account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns aligned to those goals and market trends, and implement a robust reporting framework to analyze campaign performance and surface actionable insights. You'll elevate brand presence and execution across trade through excellence in in-store planning, launches/events, merchandising, and tracking, in alignment with annual marketing priorities.ResponsibilitiesOwn brand strategy, positioning, and voice; maintain compliant visual/voice guidelines across all channels.Build and run integrated campaigns across email/SMS, web, local SEO, social, field events, PR, and retailer co-marketing; create sell-in/sell-through toolkits for channel partners.Partner tightly with Sales/Channel leadership on promotions, pricing, assortment, and launch calendars to deliver revenue and margin targets.Lead trade/channel marketing for smoke shop, convenience, and gas: line reviews, promos, POP/POS, retail staff education, and demo/activation programs.Oversee e-commerce/retail growth levers (menu optimization, merchandising, retention/loyalty/LTV).Stand up performance analytics and instrumentation (CAC, ROAS, LTV, attribution); deliver executive-ready reporting and iterate based on insights.Manage agencies and vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate ROI.Ensure all initiatives meet marketing rules and platform policies; implement SOPs.Build, mentor, and scale a small marketing team as growth demands.RequirementsBachelor's degree (Business, Marketing, or related) preferred.3+ years branding/marketing experience and 1+ year in trade/channel/retail marketing within Cannabis/HempDemonstrated success driving growth in CBD/Hemp or similar categories through strategic, compliant campaigns.Deep familiarity with distribution and smoke shop/convenience/gas retail dynamics and buyer decision processes.Strong cross-functional influence, relationship-building, and executive communication skills.Hands-on with modern martech (CRM, ESP/SMS, analytics, CMS/e-commerce, attribution); comfortable owning metrics and budgets.Ability to travel as needed; reliable vehicle and/or proximity to a major airport (especially if outside Miami or Raleigh-Durham).Viridian Enterprises LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
