About the Role:
Head of Marketing
Were looking for an experienced, strategic Head of Marketing to lead our existing in-house team of three and help shape the next phase of brand and commercial growth at Clownfish. Youll be responsible for uniting the teams existing strengths under one clear, focused strategy one that youll create (and own) alongside our Sales Director.
At Clownfish, marketing is part of sales so, this isnt about fluffy campaigns that look good on Canva. Its about marketing that works building a consistent, powerful brand presence that speaks to the right audience, generates quality leads and does the hard work to make the selling easy. That means you wont just be judged on reach, impressions or click-through rates youll be responsible for delivering results that move the needle. Thats why youll work closely with the sales team to build campaigns that convert and content that sells.
As with any managerial role at Clownfish, were looking for someone who knows how to bring out the best in others, lead with clarity and muck in when it counts. Youll take pride in developing your team giving them the confidence, structure and support they need to grow, while setting high standards and being accountable for your collective results.
Were an established name in the events industry with a reputation for creative ideas, a professional team and never taking ourselves too seriously. From epic corporate parties to exhibition stands and brand activations, our work is varied and fast-paced so were looking for someone who thrives under pressure and has experience working to critical deadlines.
Youll love this role if youre equal parts strategist and doer. You understand how to balance brand-building with lead generation. You know how to spot the story in a client case study. You get a kick out of continuously improving something by 1%. Youre confident briefing designers, copywriters and video editors. And youve got a healthy scepticism for anything that feels like marketing-for-marketings-sake.

What a Day Might Look Like:
- Running a weekly 1:1 with your team to review performance and unblock challenges;
- Working alongside the Sales Director to set & review quarterly campaign objectives;
- Detailed reporting on results, for continual improvement;
- Supporting the Content Manager to shape & stick to organic & paid campaigns strategies;
- Managing budgets and keeping your team accountable to overarching targets;
- Overseeing daily extensive content capture & distribution including our weekly vlog;
- Closely monitoring lead flow and engagement on our CRM, customer journey tools and social media platforms.
Reports to: Sales Director (Jonny Coekin).
Team: 3 direct reports (Content Manager, Google Ads PM, Creative Assistant).
Schedule:Mon-Fri, standard business hours some flexibility required for trade shows and major event support.
Location:Office-based, with Fridays WFH after onboarding.
Bonus: Annual profit share if company targets are hit.
