Description

The Assistant Manager, Global Product Marketing will support the development and execution of global product strategies for the skincare portfolio, with a focus on Estee Lauder. This role will assist in managing the innovation pipeline, supporting launch execution, conducting business analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality programs. The Assistant Manager will help translate consumer insights into actionable strategies and contribute to the ongoing growth of the skincare business.

Key Responsibilities

Innovate Products and Concepts
  • Support in developing new product concepts that create business opportunities.
  • Assist in managing the product development pipeline aligned to brand strategy, with focus on hero products, fast-growing categories, and brand-building channels.
  • Help identify white space opportunities using consumer insights, social listening, CRM data, and industry learnings.
  • Contribute to the development of 3-year innovation strategies and detailed 18-month calendars, including product concepts and promotional programs.
  • Assist in preparing Product Development briefs and Concept Ideation briefs in partnership with Product Development and Consumer Marketing.
  • Support in the creation and review of Concept Development briefs.
  • Contribute to product strategy that reinforces brand equity.
Launch Plans and 360° Activation
  • Assist in managing end-to-end launch activities, from product selection to go-to-market strategies, with a consumer-first, mobile-first, and social-first mindset.
  • Support the execution of launch strategies within designated budgets and cost of goods (COG) targets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help deliver launch strategies and product briefs.
  • Assist in the development of creative briefs and support claims testing of consumer concepts.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure product launches and storytelling are locally relevant.
  • Contribute to ad hoc business analyses and post-launch recaps as needed.
Champion Emerging Trends and Technology
  • Stay informed on emerging marketing trends, consumer behaviors, and technology developments.
  • Support exploration of new marketing technologies across digital, mobile, and omnichannel platforms to enhance consumer engagement.
  • Assist in the implementation of creative technology solutions that increase marketing reach and efficiency.
  • Help identify future opportunities by monitoring cross-industry innovations.
Financial, Forecasting, and Pricing Strategy
  • Assist Finance, Packaging, and Global Supplier Relations in tracking and maintaining cost of goods from target to final costs.
  • Support Global Business Planning in developing sales forecasts and cannibalization assumptions for launches.
  • Help conduct pricing analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness.
  • Contribute to financial and forecasting analysis to support program recommendations.
Leverage Insights and Analytics
  • Support in gathering and analyzing sales trends, category performance, and competitive insights.
  • Assist in using analytics to inform decision-making and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Track engagement and performance of programs using appropriate analytical tools.
  • Contribute to recommendations that drive business growth based on data and insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in beauty, skincare, or consumer goods.
  • Experience supporting product launches and innovation processes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
