Communications Project Manager

is a key contributor that will manage the Catalyst Centers external communications. Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and in collaboration with Catalyst Center leadership, this position will promote the organizations goals and values and ensure that Catalyst trainings, technical assistance, research efforts, and other projects reach a wide and growing audience. Additional duties include website maintenance, social media management, and other organizational duties related to communications with partners, community members, providers, funders, and other stakeholders. The Communications Project Manager is a dynamic role responsible for a diverse range of communication activities, from internal announcements to external-facing content. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, swiftly shifting between projects while maintaining high standards of quality. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong project management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, collaborate with Catalyst Center leadership and staff to develop, maintain, execute, and update a comprehensive communications plan for the Catalyst Center and its various projects and contracts Manage Catalyst Center presence on all social media platforms (Twitter (X), Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) Manage the coordination of external and internal communication flows (emails, newsletters, press releases, etc.) related to Catalyst Center projects Research, write, and edit assignments that may include stakeholder interviews, articles, social media posts, web copy, press releases, etc. Perform general website maintenance tasks such as editing pages, adding/removing content, and building simple landing pages. Coordinate with consultants to manage the implementation of website rebuilds, translation, and other more complex website design projects Utilize graphic design skills to create charts, reports, newsletters, and presentations as needed Regularly attend and participate in Catalyst Center team meetings and, as assigned, smaller team and project meetings Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS: Highly self-motivated and able to work independently. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in personal practice and policy matters. Strong organizational skills, and ability to analyze and synthesize information efficiently and thoroughly. Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience conveying key messages clearly, timely, and succinctly. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in a related field highly preferred. Excellent writing and editing skills Experience in communications Experience in social media SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Experience with social media software (Facebook manager, Social Pilot) Experience with CMS software. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS is a bonus.
