Youll be both architect and operator: set the strategy, hire the team, stand up tools and processes, and deliver growth across platforms.
What youll do- Build the department from zero ? one:design the org chart, write role descriptions, recruit, and manage a high-performing team (community, content, creative, analytics, paid).
- Own social strategy:audience development, platform roadmaps, channel positioning, and editorial calendars for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube/Shorts, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit/Discord, and emerging platforms.
- Stand up a content studio:scope whether to centralize or combine roles; set standards for on-brand creative (video, motion, design, copy), posting cadences, and QA.
- Integrate with Film & Production:partner with the Film department to plan always-on and campaign workflows (pre-production through post), capture behind-the-scenes, and coordinate releases across channels.
- Budgeting & resourcing:create and manage annual/quarterly budgets across headcount, production, tools, and paid social; forecast needs and report ROI.
- Analytics & learning loop:define KPIs, instrument dashboards, run experiments, and translate insights into content and spend decisions.
- Paid + organic orchestration:launch and optimize campaigns, creator/influencer partnerships, and amplification plans that ladder to growth and revenue goals.
- Risk & brand governance:establish social guidelines, approvals, and escalation paths; ensure compliance (music/licensing/FTC).
- Org plan, hiring roadmap, and agency/freelancer coverage where needed.
- Channel playbooks, voice/tone guides, and campaign operating cadence with Film.
- Measurement framework (KPIs, benchmarks) and executive-ready reporting.
- A repeatable content pipeline that ships daily/weekly across priority platforms.
- 3+ yearsleading multi-platform social for entertainment, media, gaming, creator, or consumer brands;1+ year managing teamsand vendors.
- Track record launching or scaling social from scratch and hitting ambitious growth goals.
- Expert knowledge of major platforms and toolsets: Meta Business Suite, TikTok/Ads, YouTube Studio, X, LinkedIn; schedulers (Sprout, Hootsuite, Later/Buffer), social listening (Brandwatch/Sprinklr), analytics (GA4, Looker Studio), PM tools (Asana/Notion), and creative apps (Adobe CC, CapCut, Figma/Canva).
- Strong budget ownership, forecasting, and ROI storytelling.
- Creative taste + operational rigor: you can brief great work and build systems that ship it.
- Comfort in fast, experimental environments with cross-functional partners in film/production.
Nice to have
- Experience in transmedia IP launches, fandom/community building (Discord/Reddit), and creator programs.
- Paid social expertise across performance + brand lift.
- Basic production chops (on-set social capture, short-form editing).
- Base salary during probation:$100,000/year.
- Base salary after successful completion of probation:$200,000/year.
