We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. As a Pipeline Developer, you will play a meaningful role in helping the CG Studio team craft world-class marketing assets for Apple's released and unreleased products. This role will develop tools for industry standard Digital Content Creation (DCC) applications and Production Management software. The team focuses on automation, workflow research, unit tests and quality control processes in a state-of-the-art production facility.

Responsibilities

The Pipeline Developer is expected to participate in the team's development sprints to scope, plan, and deliver features and workflows for the production pipeline. Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning/reviews and retrospectives
  • Develop, document, maintain, and support software for internal clients and users
  • Work daily with other Developers and Systems Engineers in a highly collaborative process to support production artists
  • Participate in strategic planning with Management and offer research insights to help improve production
Minimum Qualifications

10+ years working with visual effects pipelines and developing towards production management software such as Shotgrid and Ftrack

Experience with programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to, Python, MEL, C++, PyQT/PySide, SwiftUI

Expertise with Git or a similar version control system

Expertise with industry-standard DCC software packages and APIs, including but not limited to, Maya, V-Ray, Nuke and Houdini

Preferred Qualifications

Experienced in delivering software projects in CI/CD

Deep understanding of DevOps and software, database and networking system design principles and architecture

Experience working with GUI frameworks, such as PyQt/PySide and SwiftUI

Working knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems such as macOS or Linux and a shell such as Bash or Zsh

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,500 and $260,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
