- Strong project management, interpersonal communications and leadership skills.
- Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Agency and/or Higher education experience preferred
- Experience managing vendors agencies preferred
- Experience with marketing platforms/technologies InDesign, Asana, Hootsuite, Meltwater, etc.
- Proven success in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns, with a solid background in marketing from an agency or large, complex organization
- Ability to write and edit effectively for a range of audiences and communication products stories, scripts, social platforms, website, etc.
- Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal communications skills
- Success in elevating brand profiles and creating compelling content social, graphics, photos, videos, etc.
- Area of expertise to support the departments overall efforts writing, graphics, website, SEO , project management, data analytics, etc.
- Proven ability to monitor and respond to trends that affect an organizations strategic vision.
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with a thorough understanding of multimedia design principles
- Experience using AI in support of marketing efforts
- Experience using metrics and data to evaluate and guide marketing efforts
- Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker with keen attention to detail with project management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of groups, including students, staff, alumni, faculty and administrators
- Highly self-driven with excellent problem-solving and time management capabilities.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously

This is a hands-on position that will develop marketing materials/deliverables needed for campaign execution including but not limited to stories, social, graphics, brochures, digital, social, branded merchandise, video, photos, proposals, etc. Identify available resources for new projects, establish workflow upon project intake, and build project workflows in project management system while optimizing system processes.
- Collaborates with the website team to develop content and optimize the performance of portfolio.
- Coordinate video and photo shoots to produce photographs and video media used in marketing efforts for portfolio.
- Assist in managing relationships with external vendors and marketing agencies.
- Develop an operational calendar for events, activities, etc., identifying both new and recurring marketing activities critical to the departments and the colleges long-term growth.
- Serve as point-of-contact for clients in portfolio.
- Communicate with client withing portfolio to explore marketing needs, research and assess campaign options, set strategy and document plans, and manage client expectations.
- Establish a framework to best articulate the clients unique brand and positioning language and ensure that project deliverables are in strategic alignment with client and the colleges goals.
- Set budgets and timelines for projects.
- Ongoing communications with clients throughout project duration, building and maintaining relationships via effective communication and delivering projects as expected.
- Provide support, based on individual skill-set and department priorities for marketing efforts and programs as needed to support the Marketing and Communications Department and the overall needs of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. This could include but is not limited to writing, editing, graphics, social, website, project management, etc.
- Oversee and ensure active projects are proceeding as expected throughout project lifecycle.
- Use project management system to input and track efforts/projects and maintain dashboard for clients.
- Balance priority of all projects based on alignment with Franklin Colleges goals and objectives while adhering to USG policies.
- Provide regular reporting on marketing efforts with a focus on ROI and routinely review reports to optimize campaign performance.
- Adherence to all University of Georgia and Franklin College of Arts and Science administrative and fiscal policies and procedures and will perform other duties as assigned.
