Prior Authorization Specialist | Remote | Detroit, MI | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist with 2+ years of experience. This is a contract opportunity in Detroit, MI.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of Retail Pharmacy
• Computer and Microsoft office experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Basic Pharmacy and medical terminology
• Pharmacy claim adjudication experience
• Knowledge of basic drug classes
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• High School Diploma

• Knowledge of medication prior authorizations
• Help Desk experience
• Medicare Part D experience
  
  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist with the intake of prior authorization requests, prepare cases for clinical review, and answer phone calls and inquiries from providers and pharmacies
