About the role:

Were looking for a creative, politics-obsessed, full stack Producer to serve as showrunner for a new daily politics show from COURIER, as well as lead editorial for other audio+video projects in the works.

Youll work closely with talent selecting stories, building the daily run-of-shows, writing set-ups, managing recording sessions, quickly editing and publishing segments and full episodes to YouTube and podcast platforms.

Key responsibilities:

Showrun: COURIERs daily politics show (in development)

• Own the day-to-day production of the daily politics show.
  
  
• Lead the editorial choosing top stories, researching and writing the run-of-shows, and helping to shape the shows tone and POV
  
• Work directly with talent to structure and adapt each episode for podcast and YouTube
  
  
• Collaborate with editors and social team to cut for clips, shorts, and other platform-native assets
  
  
• Book and coordinate guest appearances (e.g., reporters, insiders, creators) and prep them for appearances

• Manage recordings ensuring quality audio and video for all talent and guests
  
  
• Lead editorial on additional politically-focused podcasts and video series (in development)
  
  
• Write scripts or outlines for other mid to long form video series or podcasts that are currently in development
  
  
• Stay ahead of the political news cycle and help those shows translate complex issues with clarity and tone for each platform

Experience:

• Have 5+ years of experience producing daily news or politically-focused media for broadcast tv, podcast, or long-form digital media.
  
  

• Have worked in or around politics, journalism, or campaigns.
  
  
• Are an exceptional writer, editor and story-shaper.
  
  
• Know what makes a story stick on YouTube, TikTok, and podcast platforms.
  
  

• Can quickly turn around a basic edit. Experience using Descript and Premiere Pro is highly preferred.
  
  

• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative production environment and are great at keeping things moving.
