The Content Marketing Specialist is a member of CCA's Office of Marketing and Communications. This in-house strategic and creative team proactively brings the college's stories to a broad variety of audiences in support of CCA's mission and its enrollment, reputational, and advancement goals. This role directly and critically supports our content marketing strategy and broadly supports the college's mission of attracting students whose work makes a difference in the world.Creative storyteller within brand standardsIn our fast-paced environment, CCA seeks a versatile marketer who centers creativity and community in their work. Equally aware of TikTok trends and the CCA Style Guide, this role voices different channels-websites, landing pages, digital presentations, email, social media, and even zines-and adapts in tone and approach to engage people of all ages, especially Gen Z and Gen Alpha The role creates messaging and marketing materials that communicate the CCA experience, drive enrollment goals, and increase brand awareness. Research and engagement with our community of artists, architects, designers, and writers are key to ensuring that the content marketing authentically captures the spirit of CCA.Produce and publishThis role contributes to a wide variety of digital content platforms and incorporates SEO best practices in a seamless and conversational way. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Content and Marketing, you'll research, write, and review content you produce, as well as that of others. Flexible and agile, you'll manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines. Student engagement and communicationThe Content Marketing Specialist partners closely with Enrollment Management to articulate key messages to prospective student audiences, including youth programs, undergraduate, graduate, and adult courses and certificate offerings. Your work will speak to audiences across the application funnel, whether in a homepage headline, email stream, or virtual tour.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Marketing Copywriting - 80%Under the direction and strategy of their manager, produce written work for CCA's external marketing website, cca.edu, with a focus on academic pages, evergreen content, and homepage headlinesWork with faculty and subject-matter experts to distill complex concepts, ideas, and research into accessible, engaging copyContribute copy to enrollment materials, including the virtual tour, digital advertising campaigns (print, social, digital), print collateral, and email streamsContribute copy to the social media editorial calendar in partnership with the Assistant Director of Content and MarketingResearch and relationship building -15%Actively brainstorm and propose new ideas for CCA's Content and Marketing TeamCollaborate closely with the Communications team to ensure alignment with CCA's Editorial Style and Brand GuidelinesConduct supplemental research to inform content development, including outreach to alumni, faculty, and students and collecting and organizing assets for our portfolio of projects.Work across the institution to align content with institutional goals, mission, and brandFollow digital trends and tactics, from social media to higher-education forumsConnect with students, faculty, and alumni to help tell their stories and represent their work in thoughtful, engaging waysProject management - 5%Organize work in Asana in conjunction with project schedulesManage stakeholder communication, including project statusAbility to multitask and manage time efficientlyMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1-3 years of experience with writing, preferably in an academic, cultural, or nonprofit settingBachelor's degree in journalism, English, marketing, creative writing, communications, or other relevant disciplineSocial media knowledge is preferredPrior higher education experience is preferred but not requiredExceptional writing skills and attention to detailExperience following brand and editorial style guidelinesDigital content marketing and SEO experienceCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:The range for this position is $37.88 - $38.63/hourCCA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including the choice of five medical plans, generous holiday, sick & vacation time, a retirement match and tuition remission. CCA covers an average of 91% of the medical plan cost for the employee only and an average of 82% for employees with dependents.
