We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content and Communications Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our internal and external communications strategy, creating compelling content across various platforms, and elevating our brand presence in our markets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ PERFORMANCE GOALS
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content and communications strategy to align with the company's objectives and brand voice.
- Lead the creation of high-quality, engaging long and short form content for a variety of channels, including websites, blogs, press releases, newsletters, packaging, video scripts, social media, and marketing materials.
- Oversee the company's internal communications, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and motivated.
- Manage media and influencer relations, including crafting pitches, handling press inquiries, and building relationships with journalists and industry influencers.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and utilize analytics to inform SEO/SEM strategies across e-commerce platforms to improve search rankings, and drive traffic and engagement.
- Master A+ e-commerce product listing content, ensuring product descriptions, features, and benefits are communication effectively to maximize conversion rates.
- Manage and enhance the company's social media presence, developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms to foster community interaction and increase followers.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communications strategies and campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop demand generation strategies, creating content tailored for each step of the customer journey to increase conversions and encourage customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, HR, and product development to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in content creation and communications.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, corporate communications, digital marketing, or related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, and a keen eye for detail and grammar consistency.
- Ability to adapt tone and style to match audiences and channels while maintaining brand voice and tone.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, SEO best practices, and analytics tools.
- A proactive, creative thinker with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
A writing portfolio should be submitted with each application. Applicants who do not submit a writing portfolio will not be considered.
Candidates may be asked to participate in a writing sample test (to take approx. two hours to complete) as they progress through the hiring process.
