Job DescriptionSelectek is partnering with a company based in Greenville, South Carolina to hire a Sprinkler Designer. Candidates in this role will create Fire Protection Systems layouts, which will comply with product specifications, NFPA and Building Codes.Employment Type: Direct HireLocation: Greenville, SCExpected Salary Range: $55,000-$95,000 based on experience and certification*Company is offering relocation assistance for candidates in Eastern/Central time zones.* Job Requirements:•3+ years of experience as a Fire Sprinkler Designer. •NICET Level II or higher is Preferred in Water-Based Systems Layout •Proficiency in HydraCAD and AutoCAD. •Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection design principles. •Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical drawings. •NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler Design (Level II or higher) preferred. Job Duties:•Design fire sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and AutoCAD per NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and other applicable codes. •Prepare layout drawings, material lists, and hydraulic calculations. •Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans to coordinate sprinkler system designs. •Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire protection codes and standards. •Communicate with AHJs, clients, general contractors, and field personnel. •Assist with submittals, permitting, and approvals. •Provide technical support to field installation teams during construction. •Revise drawings as necessary during construction and post-installation. •Stay up to date on code changes and emerging technologies in fire protection.Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00a - 5:30p.
