The Product Designer is responsible for shaping the user experience and design of user-centric products to include defining user needs, developing design concepts, and evaluating usability. Works closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other internal stakeholders to drive design strategy and innovation. Applies and promotes design best practices, tools, and methodologies while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the design process and organizational culture.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand and define user needs. Creating design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that meet business and user objectives. Conducting usability testing, user interviews, and analyzing feedback to iterate and refine designs, ensuring alignment with user requirements.
- Developing and advocating for design strategies that align with business goals and user needs. Applying and promoting design best practices, methodologies, and tools across projects. Staying informed about industry trends and implementing innovative design solutions to enhance product development.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive design implementation. Actively contributing to team discussions, workshops, and critiques to improve processes and maintain a strong design culture.
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, relative field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in UX design, product design, or related field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar required.
- Experience taking a product from zero to one preferred.
- Portfolio and examples of design work that demonstrates design process and outcomes required.
- Proficient knowledge of user research methods, usability testing, and user interface design principles and patterns required.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, or other web development technologies preferred.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, and manage multiple projects and deadlines required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, and influence and negotiate with stakeholders required.
- In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $79,646.00 to $99,557.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
Additional Compensation
This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
