Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for playing a vital role in promoting the Atlanta office, strengthening client relationships, and supporting Parker Poes attorneys. This position works across departments to execute a variety of marketing campaigns and initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Marketing and attorneys to develop, implement, and monitor the Atlanta offices marketing plan.
The Marketing Coordinator is a non-exempt administrative position reporting to the Director of Marketing. The typical schedule will consist of 7.5 hours per day, equating to 37.5 hours per week. There is opportunity for additional hours, including overtime, on occasion. There are no direct reports for this position.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Play an integral role within the Marketing & Business Development department in cultivating business with current and prospective clients and promoting the law firm and its people.
- Assist the Marketing Director in developing, implementing, and monitoring marketing plan for the firms dynamic Atlanta office, as well as the offices annual budget and monthly expense reports.
- Collaborate with the attorneys to strategize and execute targeted client relationship-building initiatives, including client events, leveraging market trends and intelligence to drive business opportunities.
- Support the attorneys in building their profiles through thought leadership, sponsorships, and award submissions.
- Collaborate with the Client Events Specialist and Business Development Managers to execute special events, including social/networking events, webinars, receptions, and group sporting events, as well as to serve as the host of Atlanta events as needed.
- Support the creation and updating of content for the firms website, social media channels, and external and internal communications initiatives aligned with the firms brand and marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications Manager to maintain local and regional media contacts.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Technology & Innovation Manager to develop and refine the artificial intelligence (AI) processes to increase the efficiency and impact of the initiatives of the Marketing and Business Development department.
- Coordinate and develop submissions for key directories, including Chambers, Best Law Firms, and Best Lawyers in America. Track rankings and provide analysis to improve positioning in these key legal directories.
- Collaborate with Request for Proposal & Pitch Manager and others in the Marketing & Business Development Department to prepare and produce proposals, pitch materials, RFPs, and client presentations.
- Coordinate industry/association/regional/charitable sponsorships. This includes interfacing directly with the organizations, receiving and processing registrations, facilitating benefits, and coordinating all materials (e.g., logo, ads, brochures associated with events), and staffing events when needed.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the firms CRM database to ensure accurate client contact and activity tracking.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer.
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in marketing, professional services, and/or law firm environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and comply with deadlines with minimum supervision; flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines is required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team dynamic.
- Demonstrate positive and can-do attitude.
- Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times.
- Strong communication skills including: interpersonal skills, articulate communication and effective use of written and spoken grammar.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work directly with attorneys and staff as required.
- Possess basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to operate and navigate various systems utilized by the Firm.
