Job Title: Marketing & Events Strategist Financial Services

Location: Winston-Salem, NC - In-office

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing & Events Strategist to join our growing fiduciary financial firm. This dual-role position blends strategic digital marketing expertise with hands-on content creation, campaign execution, and event management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial services marketing, the ability to translate complex concepts into client-friendly messaging, and a commitment to delivering exceptional, compliance-aligned communications.

This role is perfect for a creative yet detail-oriented marketer who enjoys both behind-the-scenes strategy and front-line executionespecially when it comes to coordinating impactful client events.

Key Responsibilities:
Content & Digital Marketing
  1. Develop and execute content strategies that educate and engage clients on topics such as fiduciary responsibility, retirement planning, market trends, and wealth management.
  2. Write and optimize digital content including blogs, emails, landing pages, and social posts with a focus on SEO, clarity, and relevance.
  3. Ensure brand consistency and compliance with SEC/FINRA regulations across all marketing materials.
  4. Collaborate with advisors and subject-matter experts to distill complex financial concepts into accessible client communications.
  5. Plan and manage digital ad campaigns (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn), working with agencies and vendors as needed.
  6. Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance using CRM and analytics tools.
  7. Maintain CRM database integrity and support segmented campaign targeting.
  8. Support internal reporting and marketing performance dashboards for leadership decision-making.
Event Strategy & Execution
  1. Coordinate the planning, promotion, and execution of in-person and virtual events such as client appreciation functions, retirement seminars, and educational workshops.
  2. Oversee logistics including venue selection, vendor management, catering, branded materials, guest communications, and on-site execution.
  3. Manage event invitations, RSVPs, attendance tracking, and post-event surveys using CRM tools like Redtail.
  4. Ensure each event reflects the firms brand and strategic objectives in collaboration with the CMO.
  5. Monitor event KPIs and analyze feedback to improve future programming.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
  • 24 years of professional marketing or communications experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience planning and executing events.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen ability to tailor messaging to a financial audience.
  • Working knowledge of compliance requirements in regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ClickUp, Brevo (or other email platforms), WordPress, and major social media channels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and comfort in client-facing environments.
