LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is a professional motor racing club fielding two full-time entries in the NASCAR Cup Series for John Hunter Nemechek and Erik Jones. The Club is based in Statesville, N.C, and co-owned by seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and Knighthead Capital Management, LLC. NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty The King is a Club Ambassador.

The Social Media Manager at LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is responsible for leading the daily strategy, execution, and performance reporting of digital platforms across multiple brand verticalsincluding the main team account, driver accounts, and affiliated properties such as the Never Settle Podcast and the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. This role is essential to driving audience engagement, growing brand presence, and ensuring that content is aligned with the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB voice, tone, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY & CONTENT EXECUTION

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with LEGACY MOTOR CLUBs annual goals and partner obligations.
  • Maintain editorial calendars, create channel-specific content plans, and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Edit photos and short-form videos to create engaging, performance-driven content that resonates with fans and partners alike optimized for social performance (including clips from WSC and Asphalt analytics).

EVENT COVERAGE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Lead and execute live social media coverage of NASCAR Cup Series events, sponsor activations, and driver appearances relevant to accounts under purview.
  • Foster community by monitoring conversations, responding to comments and DMs, and ensuring fan interactions reflect the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB brand.
  • Support the communications team during critical events, ensuring brand integrity and timeliness in messaging.

ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE REPORTING

  • Utilize department tools like Zoomph, Sprout Social, and other analytics platforms to evaluate social performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on engagement, growth, and ROI, providing strategic recommendations.

COLLABORATION & PARTNER SUPPORT:

  • Coordinate with creative teams, business development, and sponsorship teams to align social media plans with broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure that partner deliverables and contractual obligations are met within all social content and campaigns.
  • Act as a liaison between drivers, sponsors, and creative teams to deliver integrated and brand-aligned campaigns.

ADAPTABILITY & INNOVATION

  • Stay current on social media trends, best practices, and platform changes to ensure LEGACY MOTORCLUB remains an industry leader.
  • Proactively pitch and execute innovative campaigns that elevate the brand and engage fans in new ways.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years' experience in a related position
  • Proficiency in social platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube), Adobe Creative Suite, and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social,Zoomph).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy of work, ability to multitask, and capacity to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating effectively across the team and engaging authentically with fans.

Travel: Regular travel based on business needs (15-25 events annually)
