Multimedia Services Manager
Carry out various public and technical service routines to facilitate the use of instructional media, audiovisual equipment, and other instructional media services. Manage inventory of audiovisual equipment and other fixed assets. Maintain records, prepare reports and forms, and compile data. Daily face-to-face contact with users. Work hours may include evening and weekends.
Compensation: $58,000 - $70,000/year Compensation commensurate with experience Fulltime, Exempt, On-site position
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: [Candidates not meeting minimum qualifications will automatically be disqualified by the system]
- Bachelor's degree OR a combination of work experience and some education.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting on a variety of multimedia/audiovisual hardware and software. (5 years). Including sound systems and projection/display systems.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- One year of project management.
- Experience with the use of Audio Visual software including content creating software - Non-linear editing, Adobe Creative Suite and Content distribution software (streaming and web conferencing)
- Clerical work experience including experience operating a computer in a work setting using word processing and database software. (1 year)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in multimedia lab environment (7+ years)
- Familiarity with multimedia and audio visual media for instructional purposes.
- Experience with Audio Visual Staging.
- Knowledge in the use of IP in AV equipment.
- Knowledge in Extron or other Audio Visual Control systems
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification
- Operating a computer in a work setting including some experience with computer software and hardware installation and multimedia materials production. (5 years)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and accomplish detailed work. Must be multi-task oriented.
Other Qualifications:
- Report to work obligations to support the department and which may include non-typical office hours and may require work during HPU's winter break, if necessary.
- Able to work all shifts and extended hours.
- Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
- Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilizes excellent time and stress management skills.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position may be considered an essential position with report to work obligations depending on the type of emergency, campus closure, or evacuation.
- Upon hire, candidate must have reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel between to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position. This includes a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle that is legally registered and insured.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions
- Support University/Community Events (40%)
- Help to coordinate audiovisual equipment needs/set-up for various University-sponsored functions. AV setups include PA/Sound systems, Video/Computer presentations, Video/Audio Conferencing, and other technologies.
- Provide assistance to users during in-class presentations involving audiovisual equipment and materials
- Maintenance of AV Equipment
