Polysomnographic Technologist (Certified) Job Type: Full-time | Nights 4x10 shift, 8pm to 6 am. No weekends or holidays.

How you’ll contribute
APolysomnographic Technologist (Certified) who excels in this role will:
**
Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history).
Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician, medical director, or clinical coordinator and laboratory protocols.
Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order.
Follow Sleep Center protocols. **

What we’re looking for
Applicants should possess knowledge of usage of CPAP/BIPAP devices, oxygen administration, and application of devices. Computer literacy with at least basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional requirements include:
· High School Graduate or equivalent · Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.

· Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technologist.
_OR_
· Other allied health credential (RRT, CRT, LPN, RN) with completion of Sleep Credential from BRPT, ABSM, or NBRC within 12 months of employment. · Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire. · CPR/BLS certification
· Member of a professional organization associated with sleep medicine such as the American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST) or American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). preferred
· At least one year’s experience working with overnight sleep studies; scoring and reviewing of records; knowledge in use of CPAP/BIPAP devices, oxygen administration and application preferred · Prior training as a Polysomnography technologist, EEG technologist, respiratory care practitioner or other allied health professional preferred

Required:
Education
