Position Overview

Capital Technology Group (CTG) aims to modernize and innovate how the federal government delivers software. We are seeking individuals to support high-impact civic tech initiatives within the federal government.

The UI / UX Designer will help understand customer challenges and design product visions that meet those needs. Responsibilities include conducting user research, interviews, focus groups, and integrating various needs into a cohesive user experience. The role involves working with stakeholders, customers, and agile development teams to ensure the final product simplifies users' work.

Client Requirements : Applicants MUST BE US Citizens and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct design sprints, user research, usability testing, and reviews; analyze user data; create intuitive UI / UX designs.
• Provide expertise in designing graphical user interfaces, including screen layouts and functionality for client-server applications.
• Evaluate screen prototypes for functionality, ease of use, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Design user experiences for web-based applications from concept to completion.
• Create workflows and experiences that are intuitive, effective, and accessible.
• Communicate ideas through mockups of varying fidelity.
• Develop both short-term and long-term UI / UX visions for products.
• Critically analyze complex challenges to develop solutions and collaborate with developers and analysts.
• Mentor and supervise team members as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, innovative, flexible, resilient, receptive to critique and feedback
• Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments and work effectively independently or within teams
• Ability to quickly learn new projects and technologies
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Salary Range

Estimated between $85k and $125k annually, based on experience and skills. Final offers may vary.
