Job Title: Grant Writing Specialist
Department: Development and Mission Advancement - Marketing Department
Position Summary: Conduct prospect research and identifying potential corporate, private foundation, and government funders
Agency: New View Alliance is the parent company of Gateway-Longview, Inc. and New Directions Youth & Family Services, Inc. providing both agencies with strategic planning, advocacy, and shared administrative support for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Integrity, Performance Improvement, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and Development, Marketing, Communications, & Advancement.

Compensation
$19.50- $23.90 per hour
- Offers based on education and years of relevant experience
Hours/Schedule
Full-Time, 35 hour work week
Monday - Friday
Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop, write and coordinate with key Stakeholders grant proposals, written materials, narratives and letters of intent to Foundations, Corporations and Government funding agencies, persuasively communicating by providing compelling, accurate writings reflective of the organization’s mission, programs and accomplishments in order to secure funding

Communicate by email, phone and letter with potential funders, including but not limited to: responding to requests for information, submitting official letters of intent, and thanking funders for grant awards

Coordinate with program leadership and staff to determine organizational needs and determine which funders could best address those needs, connect with potential funders, and seek opportunity to apply for funding

Prepare and organize grant administration, proposals, reports, data requests, grant deliverables and other necessary documentation to funders as required

Maintain grants calendar with deadlines for proposal submission and reports.

Assist leadership team in reviewing and recommending revisions to agency written documents which may include agency and program area narratives, letters of intent, policies and procedures, proposals, contracts, etc.

Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud Donor Software preferred

Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience required
