We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Marketing Assistant
to support our client acquisition and market research efforts across a defined service area. This role involves traveling through designated towns to identify new market opportunities and potential clients for our services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, a knack for local market insight, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-the-ground market research in Bartlett, South Elgin, Oak Brook, Wheaton, Lombard, Geneva, West Chicago, Carol Stream, and St. Charles Identify and compile lists of potential clients or businesses that may benefit from our services Collect and analyze data on competitors, local demand, and emerging market trends Visit local businesses, community centers, and events to build relationships and increase brand awareness Distribute marketing materials and introduce potential clients to our services Assist in planning and executing local marketing campaigns tailored to specific towns Report findings and insights to the marketing manager or business owner in a timely and organized manner Maintain an up-to-date client prospect database and track outreach efforts Support digital and traditional marketing initiatives as needed Monitor local publications, online groups, and bulletin boards for networking or promotional opportunities
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Comfortable with fieldwork, including travel within the specified area Knowledge of the towns listed is a plus Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace A reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver's license
