The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Behring Communications, as the
Director, Behring Communications
(Market Access, Business Excellence & Commercial Development, and Insights & Analytics), you will hold a global leadership role responsible for shaping and executing strategic communications supporting CSL Behring’s business objectives. This includes external, leadership, and employee communications, issues and crisis management, and other functional communications aligned with CSL Behring's goals. You will serve as the primary communications partner and strategic counselor to the ABCIA organizations, working proactively and collaboratively across functions and within the Corporate & External Affairs (CEA) organization. You will develop strategic plans, deliver media and thought leadership placements globally, and ensure ongoing content contributions for internal and external audiences through various channels. This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of onsite and remote work. #LI-hybrid The Role: Leads Global Communication Strategy for Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDTs): Develops and executes a proactive, enterprise-aligned communications strategy that highlights the value of PDTs and supports broader business goals. Collaborates across stakeholders in Plasma and CEA to craft and implement messaging frameworks. Owns and evolves the narrative for PDTs, identifying engagement opportunities and providing strategic counsel to senior leaders. Supports external communications for Plasma centers and leaders as needed. Leads issues & crisis management for CSL Behring: Maintains a centralized Issues Repository for consistent messaging. Works with CEA and leadership to design an issues and crisis communication framework. Serves as a spokesperson for US/EU issues and crises, proactively managing reputational risks. Prepares senior leaders for communication during high-pressure situations. Leads policy communications: Translates complex policy issues into clear messages for external stakeholders. Coordinates with Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, and Media Relations for a unified approach. Strategic Partner to the Head of ABCIA: Acts as the key communications partner for the leadership team. Develops and executes strategies supporting ABCIA’s priorities and enterprise goals. Supports global Behring communications initiatives and manages third-party agencies to align with business objectives. Demonstrates influence and builds strong relationships within a highly matrixed organization. Your Skills & Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related; MBA or Master’s in Communications preferred. 10+ years in communications, including program and people management, in product or corporate communications/public relations. 5+ years managing media relations. Experience in Pharma/Biotech or regulated environments is desirable. Advanced professional development and applied Science communications experience of 10+ years highly desirable. 3+ years of digital communications experience preferred. Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization. Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel may be required.
