Job Summary Work with the Artist Hospitality Lead to execute the agreed-upon specific needs and requests of the artist communicated via their rider and/or the advance Maintain a top-tier hospitable, service-oriented, and accommodating environment for artists and touring personnel Support third-party vendors and caterers, ensuring the artist's meal requirements are met Collect and maintain menus from local restaurants in an organized fashion Ensure food service areas, green rooms, and dressing rooms are properly presented, and that agreed-upon special requests have been met Ensure backstage hospitality areas are clean and hygienic Clean, maintain, and coordinate service of appliances and other in-house hospitality equipment Act as onsite contact for all artist hospitality needs Comply with all University and venue financial handling policies and procedures Ensure Food Safety and Quality Standards are being always met May be asked to perform Runner duties on occasion Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) Preferred

Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or arts administration WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

Experience as a Runner in Service and Hospitality LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required

Valid United States driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Basic food and beverage service knowledge Discretion and ability to maintain/manage artist privacy in backstage areas Basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently Innovative, with strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues, come up with a solution, work with other departments if necessary, and see that solution through to implementation Ability to work with very little supervision Ability to multitask, handle competing demands, prioritize, and meet deadlines Punctual and reliable Enthusiastic and energetic Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, and the ability to move swiftly and with ease through a crowded multi-level facility. The role requires the ability to move objects up to 50 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.

Advertised Salary

$15.00 per hour

Work Hours

Work is scheduled on an as needed basis. Work hours vary based on the number and type of events on the Auditorium event calendar.

At the event scheduled time, this position requires 15 - 20 hours per week.
