Instructional Systems Designer Project Lead - Troy, MI

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

ISD Project Lead

to lead strategic learning and development initiatives for multiple commercial clients. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in instructional design, project management, and client engagement. You'll be responsible for driving business outcomes through innovative training solutions, operational excellence, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Strategy

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through strategic planning and business development Align training initiatives with client goals Project Leadership Develop and execute project strategies, staffing plans, and schedules Oversee profit and loss, performance metrics, and project controls Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality learning solutions Training & Development Oversight Manage the design, development, and implementation of learning programs Ensure quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery across multiple projects Drive innovation in learning solutions and instructional design Team & Issue Management Lead and mentor project teams to achieve performance goals Identify and resolve project issues to maintain productivity and client satisfaction Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum

6 years of experience

in the learning industry, including developing training in a variety of delivery media using commonly accepted concepts, practices and procedures within instructional systems design, including the ADDIE model Strong writing and professional communication skills (use of language, grammar, spelling, and content organization) Leadership ability commensurate with supporting a cross-functional team to ensure training components target instructional and business requirements and meet all quality control standards as well as ensuring deliverables are completed on time and under budget Build project schedules and track progress on courseware development tasks Develop proposals and develop project cost metrics Experience applying financial management principles, such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), including calculating percent complete, estimating the budget at complete, mitigating risk, building recovery plans and realizing opportunities. and other content development tools Strong background in

curriculum design

and instructional strategy Proven ability to design and deliver

blended learning solutions Exceptional

interpersonal, presentation, and consultative skills High attention to detail in both data and communication Demonstrated

critical thinking

and tactical planning abilities Proficiency in

MS Word and Excel Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines Strong independent judgment and decision-making capabilities Ability to work effectively in a

matrixed, geographically dispersed organization

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Project Management, or a related field required Master's degree preferred
