Communication Equipment Installer

Job Description Description SAIC is seeking a Communication Equipment Installer for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.This role requires 10% travel (1-2 times per year).Job Description:Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipmentResearch, design, develop, and test installation of new equipmentIntegrate and fabricate cablesQualifications Required Education and Experience:Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experienceRequired experience:Must have cabling experienceMust have experience or be familiar with the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modemsRequired Clearance:Must be eligible and must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date. SAIC will sponsor your clearance.
