Senior PCB Designer
to join our electrical design team. You will design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for our products. You will create layouts, build part libraries, and develop documentation for new and existing products. Key Responsibilities Design and layout PCB boards for power supplies, controllers, and communication devices. Use
Pulsonix
or similar tools to create 2-6 layer PCB designs with double-sided SMT components. Design PCBs that require controlled impedance for high-speed or high-frequency circuits. Build and maintain a library of PCB components. Prepare documentation, including fabrication drawings, Gerber files, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Manage component and PCB sub-assembly reviews and archival. Work with vendors to produce prototypes and raw PCB boards. Attend conferences and training to stay up-to-date in PCB design. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in PCB layout and design. 7+ years of experience with CAD tools like
Pads, Altium, or Pulsonix
for high-volume PCB assemblies. Skilled in EMC/high-frequency switching layouts. Knowledge of PCB documentation, design for manufacturing, and BOM processing. Experience with electro-mechanical components and drafting. Experience with PCB fabrication and working with manufacturers for high-volume production. Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail. Education 2-year Associate Degree or equivalent in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field. Why Work at Hayward?
