UI/UX Developer

UI/UX Developer Evanston, IL Bear Claw is a growing SaaS company transforming applicant tracking and passive candidate headhunting. Were looking for a talented UI/UX Developer to join our engineering team and play a key role in building Bear Claws new user interface. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and help shape the products next generation. What Youll Do Lead the development of Bear Claws new UI, translating designs and prototypes into responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement UX best practices, leveraging Figma for wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing. Develop and maintain APIs and integrate with back-end services in Node.js, with serverless workflows powered by AWS Lambda functions. Work closely with our data team to incorporate AI-driven insights via Amazon Redshift into the platforms UI, creating smarter and more personalized user experiences. Write high-quality, reusable, and testable code, including unit and integration tests. Ensure scalability, performance, and accessibility across the application. Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and TDD initiatives. Use analytics, user feedback, and AI-driven reporting to continuously improve the platform experience and influence the overall design direction. What Were Looking For 25+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack development. Strong experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern styling frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Material-UI). Experience building and consuming authenticated APIs. Familiarity with Node.js, AWS (Lambda, Redshift, S3, EC2), Git, and Docker (or similar cloud/container tools). Understanding of UX principles and proficiency with Figma (experience with Sketch or Adobe XD a plus). Interest in leveraging AI and data visualization to enhance user experiences. Ability to estimate project scope, manage tasks independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
