Qualified candidates must have: Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software Experience with site drainage, grading, utility plans for water/pipeline/pressure networks Overview: Looking for candidates who are using Autodesk Civil 3D supporting water/wastewater/linear pipelines and other water-related solutions Ideally candidates have been using the software for 3-5 years and can support some of the drafting/design independently Interested in candidates who know not only work with Civil 3D but who have been working in the water/pipeline sector as well If candidates have Civil 3D software only and no pipeline-related experience, candidates will notbe selected for interviews Summary: Under general supervision, performs advanced functions requiring technical knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating or modifying deliverable This role will be responsible for the development site drainage, grading, utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation This role will be within the companys Governments & Water Utilities (G&Wu) group, supporting client needs related to water, wastewater, linear pipelines, and other water-related solutions Basic Civil 3D experience is required with use of pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces and plan and profile development Engineering Standards: Understand and implement current standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and company policies and procedures Quality / Continuous Improvement: Proactively apply knowledge of the companys Quality Program to ensure that the deliverables are accurate and compliant Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts Reviews design inputs to ensure consistency Ensures deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards suitable for the project Engineering Production: Broadening the use of applications to learn to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes and procedures used to accomplish deliverables Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs Perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks Project Coordination: Coordinate deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors May support field activities Responsible for support of project finalization including for example consolidation of records for as-built drawings or information to take off as-built quantities Client Focus: Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining an understanding of external clients main interests and drivers Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes May apply judgment and makes decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation People Management (supervision career development developing professionals, mentoring): May provide supervision, work direction, and guidance to others Education Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
