Senior Software Engineer - UI
Join a dynamic and rapidly growing startup in Beaverton, Oregon, where you will have the opportunity to work on innovative metrology, laser processing, and solid-state energy devices that are reshaping high technology industries globally. As a member of the Software Development Team, you will develop optical inspection and laser processing products used in industries such as semiconductor, flat panel, consumer electronics, automotive, and aerospace. Responsibilities: Design and develop user interfaces with a focus on User-Centric Design, ranging from controlling hardware to application software. Build and maintain clear, efficient, reusable, and reliable code using C#, Blazor, XAML/WPF, and other necessary languages. Propose design solutions and alternatives for discussion with stakeholders and management. Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure seamless user experiences. Troubleshoot and maintain existing UI components and applications. Participate in code reviews and adhere to development best practices and coding standards. Essential Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 6+ years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in C#, .NET frameworks, Azure, Blazor, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Bootstrap, and CSS. Strong understanding of UI design principles and best practices. Experience with machine vision is highly desired. Hands-on experience with modern software development practices including git-flow, continuous integration, package management, and containerized builds. Experience integrating 3rd party libraries and components. Demonstrated history of test automation including unit testing and code analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Familiarity with software development for capital equipment is a plus. Experience in agile development environments. Experience in Azure environment/tools with DevOps knowledge. Ability to work quickly and dynamically in a fast-paced startup environment. Work Environment: This role is based on-site at a brand new facility in Beaverton, Oregon, five days a week. The work environment is highly collaborative with a strong focus on research and development. The position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel. Employees can expect 2 weeks of vacation annually. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, Oregon. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
