Employment Type: Contract

About the Company: Our client is a rapidly growing law firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Events Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role offers the potential to extend as the firm's needs grow. If you have event planning expertise, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and enjoy managing the behind-the-scenes logistics that ensure events succeed, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Research:

  • Provide external-facing event support, with occasional internal event coordination.
  • Conduct extensive research on venues, restaurants, and event swag to design memorable and unique experiences.
  • Support creative brainstorming for venues, ensuring alignment with organizational brand and appeal to a professional services audience, including knowledge of what's new and on trend regionally and nationally.

Event Execution:

  • Manage menu planning and food/beverage selection, ensuring dietary needs and nuances are accounted for.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and packing/shipping event materials.
  • Handle registration setup in C-Vent and ensure all preparatory tasks for events are completed timely.
  • Travel onsite for event execution, managing logistics, setup, and breakdown, including some manual labor (e.g., lifting boxes independently).

Collaboration and Administration:

  • Partner with other Marketing Events Managers to create consistent processes for event execution and documentation.
  • Build templates, checklists, and resources to streamline logistical planning across the team.
  • Provide on-video support (frequent video calls) to update and engage with stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Use tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and SharePoint for tracking event details and maintaining alignment with collaborators.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track event participation and performance by reporting in Salesforce.
  • Use data to evaluate the success of events and provide information for post-event reviews.

Required Skills:

  • Event Planning Experience: Proven background in corporate event planning, including menu design, food and beverage selection, and logistics.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially when supporting multiple stakeholders and providing regular updates.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and pivot quickly from research to action.
  • Creative Mindset: Knowledge of trending venues, activities, and event options that engage professional audiences.
  • Organizational Excellence: Comfortable independently handling administrative and operational tasks, especially during the onboarding phase.

Systems Expertise (Preferred):

  • Salesforce for tracking event details and reporting participation.
  • Registration Platforms (e.g., C-Vent) for preparing event registration sites.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with onsite badge printing technologies like Zebra printers.

Additional Preferences:

  • Law Firm or Professional Services Experience: Nice to have, though other corporate event planning experience is welcome.
  • Comfortable working remotely and being on camera frequently for virtual collaboration.
  • Ability to handle manual tasks like lifting, packing, and event setup independently.
  • Travel readiness for onsite event execution.

Why Join? This is an exciting opportunity to step into a critical role with a forward-thinking, growing law firm. You will work with a highly collaborative team while having the independence to own projects and make a direct impact. With a focus on corporate event planning and creative input, the role blends strategy, creativity, and logistics.
