Summary: Responsible for telling the Guardian story through high-quality marketing copy used via multiple channels. This position is also responsible for engaging the GCU audience through its organic social media platforms.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesTell the Guardian story. Develop high-quality, engaging content for social media, the GCU website and blog, newsletters, press releases and all GCU marketing collateral (ex. post card, billboards, fliers, etc.), ensuring consistency in messaging and branding across all channels. Ensure all marketing materials meet compliance regulations as required for advertisements.Manage Guardian Credit Union's and Guardian Foundation's social media presence, including:Strategy Development: Create and align the social media strategy with the company's goals and audience.Content Creation and Scheduling: Create and curate engaging content that is relevant to the GCU audience across channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Identify and integrate emerging social trends, content formats and platform best practices to maximize reach and engagement. Ensure content is ADA compliant.Community Management: Respond to member comments and messages in a timely manner, fostering conversation. Actively listen for feedback.Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze content performance. Track KPIs and provide regular reports to assess campaign and content effectiveness.Collaborate with the marketing team to keep on track with objectives and deadlines. Ensure that all visuals align with branding standards. Support the development of basic content assets including short-form video, photos and design for social channels.Serve as the main communicator for the Marketing Department to Team Guardian, developing and disseminating any necessary updates via internal chats, Hubley, email, etc.Work with internal and external marketing team to support paid advertising efforts.Act as a marketing liaison to branches, ensuring relevant and current information is displayed and gathering stories for marketing purposes.Stay aware of competitors, industry trends and new product developments.Assist the Community Relations Specialist with event setup and coverage as needed.Respond to member direct messages and comments on the GCU Google business pages in a timely manner, coordinating with the proper team members to help resolve any issues.Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.Knowledge and SkillsExperienceTwo to five years of social media management experience; experience developing both written and visual content; experience working within a social media management platform such as Hootsuite, SocialPilot, Sprout Social, etc. a plus; experience working at a financial institution preferred.Education/Certifications/LicensesBachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field from an accredited institution.Interpersonal SkillsEssential skills include marketing and communications understanding, content creation (written and visual), excellent writing skills, interpersonal skills, organization and prioritization, and data analysis proficiency.ADA RequirementsPhysical RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.Mental and/or Emotional RequirementsMust be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
