Why should I join?
This isn't your typical field marketing job.
We're not looking for someone to manage existing event programs or execute someone else's playbook.
We're looking for someone to build our entire field marketing engine from scratch —to own conferences, events, webinars, and in-person strategy that drives real pipeline .
You'll be the person who decides which events to prioritize, executes flawlessly , and makes every dollar count .
If you're the kind of person who needs detailed event runbooks, unlimited budgets, or a team of agencies to handle logistics—this role is not for you.
If you're a scrappy operator who can spot high-ROI opportunities, execute with precision, and build something meaningful from zero-to-one , you're going to love it here.
What would I do?
- Work directly with founders and sales leadership to build our field marketing strategy from the ground up.
- Identify and prioritize conferences, trade shows, and events that align with our target customers in hiring and HR.
- Own end-to-end event execution—from booth design and logistics to lead capture and follow-up.
- Build and manage relationships with event organizers, sponsors, and strategic partners.
- Create compelling event content—one-pagers, presentations, demos, and booth materials that showcase our AI recruiting technology.
- Track and analyze event ROI obsessively—what drives real pipeline, what's just vanity metrics.
- Represent Alex professionally at events, conducting demos and having strategic conversations with prospects.
- Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads from events.
- Experiment with new field marketing tactics beyond traditional conferences—think creative activations, customer panels, or strategic partnerships.
You're a Great Fit If You Have The Following
- 2-4 years of field marketing, event marketing, or similar experience, ideally at a B2B startup.
- Hands-on experience building field marketing programs from scratch or with minimal resources.
- Strong commercial judgment to evaluate event ROI and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills—you can juggle multiple events simultaneously.
- Comfort working independently and solving problems without detailed direction.
- Basic content creation skills (copywriting, basic design) to create compelling event materials.
- Willingness to travel 25-30% for events and on-site activations.
- Bonus points if you have experience in HR tech, recruiting, or talent acquisition.
You're Probably Not a Great Fit If You
- Need a big budget and established processes. We're building this function from scratch with startup-level resources.
- Prefer traditional 9-5 event planning roles. You'll be working directly with founders in a fast-paced environment.
- Aren't excited about AI or the future of hiring. If our technology and mission don't genuinely interest you, this isn't the role for you.
- Massive Responsibility: Own the entire field marketing function and build the next billion dollar company
- Exceptional team: Work directly with founders and a tight-knit team of talented builders
- Real Impact: Drive pipeline for products that directly impact people's careers and hiring outcomes
- Fast Growth Learning: Get hands-on experience building field marketing at a high-growth AI startup
- Serious Upside: Competitive salary and equity in a fast-growing company
- Great Benefits: Health insurance, unlimited PTO, company lunches, and great company events
If you've gotten this far and building field marketing from zero-to-one excites you, we want you to apply.
