Boston Food Hub Sales & Marketing Associate Job Posting
Expected Schedule: Average of 20 hours/week on-site with potential for hybrid work.
Benefits & Pay:

About Boston Area Gleaners: a regional food systems organization focused on farming, food waste, and food security. Our mission is to increase access to fresh produce, support farms, and reduce food waste. We own Stonefield Farm in Acton, MA.
The Sales & Marketing Associate is customer-facing, providing excellent service, capturing sales opportunities, and supporting marketing efforts through digital, print, and social media to engage the community and share our story.

Skills
- Computer & data entry proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Mailchimp, Canva
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with farms, food hubs, farmers markets, or food businesses
- Knowledge of local produce varieties
- Interest in regional food systems
- Photography/videography skills (a plus)
- Social media, email marketing, content creation
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate professionally
- Teamwork and independence
- Friendly, approachable, and rapport-building

Primary Responsibilities include:
Boston Food Hub Sales
- Support inside sales activities
- Proactively contact customers to capture orders and meet deadlines
- Enter orders into database, send confirmations
- Respond promptly to calls, texts, emails
- Communicate order changes and suggest substitutions
- Assist with prospecting and lead generation
Communications & Marketing
- Manage social media accounts with the team
- Engage online audiences and develop online presence
- Create content for website, social media, emails, and marketing materials
- Organize photos and videos of inventory and activities
- Attend industry events and visit partners for content
