About the role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to define Gamma’s growth trajectory.
At Gamma, design isn't just a function—it's at the heart of how we build. With six (soon, seven!) product designers on a team of 40, we have an exceptionally high ratio of designers to other roles, underscoring our belief that design is a key driver of breakthroughs. This role will be aligned to our Growth team within the product organization.
Gamma's 50M+ users worldwide count on our AI-powered visual storytelling platform to shape and share their big ideas. We’ve built a product-led growth flywheel that has led to one of the steepest growth trajectories in AI. And we’ve done it all with a tiny team on only $23M raised so far. Our relentless focus on building a product worth loving and designing for growth to match has taken us this far, and we can’t wait to see how much further you can take us.
As the designer for our Growth team, you'll be responsible for designing experiences that help more people discover, try, and fall in love with Gamma. You'll lead design across the team’s areas of ownership: onboarding flows, referral programs, and conversion optimization across our funnel. You'll connect deeply with Gamma's users through research and data analysis, defining our growth design strategy in close collaboration with product and design leaders at Gamma. This is an ideal role for a designer motivated by measurable impact: Growth design is how we help the world discover Gamma.
Our team has a strong in-office culture and this position is an onsite role in San Francisco. As a key connector on the team, you'll be expected to be at our office in Potrero Hill 4-5 days per week. What you'll do:
Own the complete user onboarding experience end-to-end, shipping conversion improvements to our sign-up and first-use flows
Work closely with engineering to rapidly prototype new experiments for driving growth
Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to drive growth design from concept to launch, balancing usability, feasibility, and business impact
Develop referral and growth loop experiences that turn existing users into advocates
Collaboratively drive the vision for how Gamma reaches our next 50M users
Our ideal candidate has:
5+ years of experience in product design
Deep product design perspective, able to give rich product feedback and collaborate constructively with the rest of the design team
Strong portfolio; for this role, we care most about your ability to move fast, experiment, and learn
Proven track record collaborating with growth teams, marketers, and data analysts
Ability to balance creative vision with rigorous testing and optimization mindset
The ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Experience at high-growth B2C or prosumer products with both consumer and business users
Entrepreneurial experience at startups or eagerness to jump from big company to startup world
Understanding of AI products and how to design interfaces that highlight AI capabilities
Data-driven design approach with experience running A/B tests and interpreting user analytics
Demonstrated experience with demonstrating experience with onboarding flows, conversion-focused design, and continuous user education
The base annual salary range for this role is $170k-$220k .
