Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site comprehensive role for an Interior Designer / Project Manager located in Chagrin Falls, OH. The candidate will be responsible for designing and managing projects from concept to completion. Day-to-day tasks will include space planning, creating construction drawings, selecting fixtures and materials, material procurement, interior design, project scheduling, and overseeing the construction process and final installation. The role requires collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Experience in Space Planning and Interior Design
- Strong skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings
- Knowledge of Fixtures and remodeling materials selection and specification
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in residential and commercial projects is a plus
Responsibilities
Client Consultation and Design Concept
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals
- Develop conceptual designs, including space plans, material selections, and color palettes
- Present design concepts to clients using sketches, renderings, and software presentations
Detailed Design and Documentation
- Create detailed plans and specifications including drawings
- Utilize design software (e.g. 2020 Design a CAD software) to produce precise layouts and visuals
Material Selection and Procurement
- Collaborate with clients to finalize material selections
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
- Manage the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials within budget
Project Management and Scheduling
- Develop detailed project timelines and schedules
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to timelines
Collaboration and Communication
- Work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, suppliers, and other designers
- Communicate design ideas clearly and persuasively, and build strong relationships
Required Skills

- A strong sense of style, and eye for color and spatial arrangement, and the ability to visualize and conceptualize beautiful and functional spaces
Technical Proficiency
- Ability to draw, read, and edit blueprints
- Proficiency in design software
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes

- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
