Vanity Fair
Vanity Fair is seeking a Manager of Social Media to assist with day-to-day posting and strategy across all social accounts. This role reports to Vanity Fairs Director of Social Media and will work closely with editorial, video, analytics, legal, research, and commercial teams. Along with a passion for storytelling, obsessive knowledge of entertainment, news, and pop culture, and attention to detail, the candidate should have experience with social media trends and platforms. This role is intended for someone with strong writing skills, experience in developing social video and live events coverage, and enthusiasm about joining a leading cultural brand. This is an in-office role based in New York City.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with editorial leadership, video, audience development, and social media colleagues to develop and execute creative and strategic programming for the brands social channels that meet the editorial and revenue goals of the brand
Handle day-to-day writing, editing, posting, and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Bluesky, Facebook, Reddit, and more
Develop and refine the brands editorial voice across platforms
Work closely with editorial stakeholders to roll out daily and evergreen content across social
Assist with regular live events coverage and social video creation, including possibly acting as an on-camera face of Vanity Fair on social platforms across the brands tentpole events, including Hollywood Issue, the VF Oscar Party, and other awards shows
Work with sales to conceptualize social sponsorship packages and execute delivery on those sponsorships via social platforms
Build creative assets across platforms, including for Instagram Stories, and track performance
Manage social swaps with internal Conde Nast brands as well as external partners
Report on content performance and effectively present social insights, optimizations and best practices for the brands digital team and central stakeholders
Explore and identify new platforms that align with the brands target audiences to grow traffic, engagement, and revenue
Collaborate with global social strategy team and contribute thoughtfully to developing the brands social strategy around the world
Requirements:
A minimum requirement of 3+ years of social media experience
Strong knowledge of the social media space and an eye for developments and changes in the marketplace
Excellent editorial judgement, writing skills, and ability to capture brand voice to reach new and established audiences
Proven experience hitting key social metrics
A knowledge of social analytics tools and social scheduling
Confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced media environment
Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
