Overview
The Photo and Video Producer is responsible for the prep, shoot, and post-production management of DSG photo and video projects for Marketing. This includes focus on talent acquisition, seasonal timelines, budgets, financial management, and best practices. The role works closely with the Managing Producer, Associate Producer, and Photo Studio Coordinator.
Support the Managing Producer
- Supervise and provide on-site management to freelance photographers, production managers, casting agents, model talent, and support staff
- Provide day-to-day service and support to the Creative Team, including managing schedules, call sheets, pre-production books, and arranging travel and accommodations
- Maintain talent documentation and handle permitting, location clearance, equipment rentals, and expendables
- Coordinate with local production managers for stylist, H/MU, and props
- Arrange catering for shoots and issue certificates of liability insurance
- Collaborate with the photo coordinator on product details and work with internal departments such as Brand, Ecomm, Product Development, and others
Travel requirement: 40%+
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Marketing, Arts, or Fashion
- 5-7 years of experience as a Producer or Studio Manager in an agency, studio, or retail environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Photoshop
- Strong budgeting, planning, and workflow management skills
- Knowledge of photography terminology, market pricing, and vendor negotiations
- Experience managing video production workflows
- Knowledge of casting, talent selection, and location scouting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Deep understanding of photographic, digital, and video production processes
- Established industry relationships with talent agencies
