This role involves on-site work in Boise, ID, collaborating on significant projects with a focus on modeling and coordination. The position requires engaging with various stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and trade contractors, to manage content development from conceptual design to detailed construction models.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with owners, architects, engineers, and trade contractors to manage content development and coordinate from conceptual design to detailed construction model.

  • Assist with BIM execution and implementation plans for multiple projects.

  • Develop and manage BIM coordination schedules with the project team.

  • Compile project models from subcontractors for proactive clash detection, ensuring compliance with the project's scope of work.

  • Collaborate with design subcontractors to resolve constructability issues before fabrication or mobilization.

  • Write and issue records of discussion (ROD) and requests for information (RFI) to clients.

  • Provide field teams with mobile model access and coordinate real-time updates.

  • Capture and report field installation deviations using point cloud data and model comparisons.

  • Collaborate with QA/QC, construction management, and superintendents to resolve coordination issues.

  • Hold and attend ad-hoc meetings with subcontractors and daily/weekly field meetings to remain aligned with site conditions and project sequences.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications with a strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination processes.

  • Experience in QA/QC with a minimum of 1 year.

  • Ability to communicate design intent to contractors and read designs in Revit.

  • Experience working on industrial, mission-critical, or high-tech projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a VDC Coordinator.

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred.

  • Preferred experience with semiconductor or mission-critical projects.

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Dynamo, Python, and Powershell.

Work Environment

The position is based in Boise, ID, at Micron, and is fully on-site. Work is conducted in an office environment, requiring extended periods of sitting, standing, and using technology like computers and video conferencing tools. Additionally, there is a need to stand, walk, and navigate around construction sites for extended periods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
