Freelance Video Editor Job at Cinedept in Los Angeles

We’re looking for a Video Editor with strong Premiere, After Effects, Motion Graphics, and GFX capabilities to join our creative production studio on a freelance-to-hybrid basis. The role begins with short-form edits, branded social assets, and quick-turn content, with the potential to grow into larger opportunities as the collaboration deepens and the projects scale.

This is a hands-on role within a small but ambitious team. You’ll be embedded directly in the creative process: shaping edits, making creative decisions, and collaborating closely with our leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Edit across formats: short-form web, branded content, and social campaigns
• Design and integrate motion graphics, titles, and visual effects
• Partner with creative leadership from concept through delivery
• Occasionally work on-site for time-sensitive edits
• Elevate projects with a sharp eye for storytelling, pacing, and design consistency
• Evolve with us as projects increase in scope and scale

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects (motion graphics / GFX required)
• Familiarity with AI-driven creative tools that enhance workflow and execution (Runway, Veo, Kling, Gemini, Claude, Nanobana, Sora, Synthesia, etc.)
• Strong instincts for rhythm, pacing, and visual storytelling
• A design-minded editor with fluency in typography, layout, and branding
• Comfortable operating independently, while thriving in a collaborative environment
• Bonus: skills in color grading, sound design, or 3D
