Position Title: Writer-Producer-Editor at Bell Hospital
Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Producer/Writer/Editor creates, coordinates, and executes long-form medical, newscast-style programming for one daily and two weekly streaming shows. The successful candidate may also help produce a podcast and occasionally write packages for anchors. This role provides editorial and production direction to field crews regarding content, coordination, and show execution. The producer manages efforts of anchors/reporters, editors, and other staff to craft compelling content. Collaboration with the news director and executive producer is essential to develop the on-air look of the newscast to attract a broad audience. The position involves working with health system leaders and staff in story planning meetings to meet patient needs and enhance the health system's visibility and loyalty.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Script, write stories, and promotional content for streaming, online platforms, and podcasts.
- Assist in editing show elements as needed.
- Research and request FSFX production for show elements.
- Prepare interview segments.
- Coordinate breaking news or crisis communication using the studio for internal and external audiences.
- Assist in the control room for broadcasts and operate the teleprompter as needed.
- Attend meetings to prepare for daily and regular programming needs.
- Participate in planning sessions with the news director and executive producer.
- Maintain good relationships with team members, working closely with the news director, videographers, editors, and health system leadership.
- Assist with local, national, and international media requests as needed.
- Implement the health system's research-based goals.
- Handle technical difficulties efficiently.
- Remain calm under pressure and be results-oriented.
- Perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies required for the role.

Required Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree or equivalent of 7 years broadcast television producing experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree.
Required Language Skills:
- English — reading, writing, speaking.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Excel, and video editing skills.
- Proficient in digital editing software, such as Adobe Premiere.
