Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive Marketing Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid, full-time position. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for marketing and communications efforts, including digital, print, content writing, and more. The Marketing Specialist shall have creative energy, an entrepreneurial spirit and be committed to deepening relationships with our audience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Market through a justice, equitable, diverse and inclusive lensWrite, design, schedule, and monitor dynamic social media content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedInTrack marketing strategy statistics and effectiveness Creation and execution of internal and external e-newsletters Ensure all content is consistent with the organization's brandManage and create targeted communications, including the coordination of writing, editing, creative design, and distributionSupport with the development of promotional materials as needed Work with the Director of Development and Marketing to attain marketing goals and strategies Maintain website(s) with updated information Provide marketing support to various departmentsWrite and edit communication materials for the organizationMarket and support major fundraising events, including debriefs, post-event surveys, strategic planning, and new creative ideas Manage the organization and distribution of promotional items and materials for events, presentations, and partnersOrganize, set-up, and attend community outreach eventsCompletes other miscellaneous duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid Michigan driver's license, good driving record and the availability of licensed, insured vehicle for use on the job required. Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field; or an equivalent amount of experienceMinimum 2 years of marketing experienceMinimum 1 year of event experienceProficient in design programs including Canva and Adobe, CRMs and email databases like MailChimpMust hold a valid Michigan driver's license and have reliable transportation for work purposes and able to lift 35 poundsAbility to work evenings and weekends for outreach and fundraising events as neededPhysical Requirements:May occasionally require lifting up to 35 pounds.Work Conditions:May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites.
