The Athletic Department is looking for a photographer to assist the department at various events and games.

This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs custom and specialized photography in-house or on location using a variety of cameras and other photographic equipment; determines camera setting, lighting requirements and other specifications to ensure quality shooting.
  • Edits digital images to prepare them for use on various platforms such as websites, print, and social media.
  • Maintains database of photos taken for future use/reference.
  • Assists with inventorying various photographic supplies, assists with ordering supplies according to departmental policies and/or budget constraints.
  • May operate various graphic design equipment such as cameras, graphic computers and printing and lettering equipment.
  • Consults with clients to determine their needs based on end use, budget and time.
  • Budget accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of field production equipment including, but not limited to, cinema-style and DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio.
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite required, specifically Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
  • Strong verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
  • Knowledge of position related NCAA and Big 12 rules and compliance.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the UniversityFleet Safety Policy .
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience photographing sporting events.
  • Experience photographing live action events
