Photography Production Manager - Industrial Color Job at Industrial Color in Los

Industrial Color is seeking a photography production manager to partner with the Associate Director of Production & VP, LA Studios to manage one of Industrial Color's largest eCommerce production clients. In this role, you will oversee production workflow including pre-production, project estimation, casting, style outs, shoot, post-production, and billing. The Photography Production Manager will maintain the day-to-day studio operational needs at a satellite studio in Los Angeles. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, balancing client management and supervising a production team of 3-4 individuals. The position is onsite at our satellite studio in Los Angeles. Additional responsibilities include:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient studio operations for all productions
• Manage project statuses and ensure timely completion of production milestones
• Oversee communication around project requirements, proactively managing risks and expectations internally and with clients
• Review and maintain budgets, implementing cost-saving measures when applicable
• Manage production metrics and provide reports to clients and internal teams for optimization
• Create project plans and shoot schedules based on SKU assortment, productivity, casting, and creative needs; identify appropriate crew and approaches within budget and client specifications
• Establish and optimize internal production tools and processes for scalability and growth
• Facilitate team collaboration, adherence to deadlines, client expectations, and workflows; support resource allocation including PTO and volume spikes
• Brainstorm ways to enhance services, streamline workflows, and elevate output
• Work closely with clients to ensure creative visions are executed properly and consistently across multiple sets
• Curate and onboard creatives and talent, ensuring client approval and network growth in categories like photography, styling, art direction, casting, etc.
• Serve as the main client contact to build trust and expand services
• Stay updated on content and production trends, technologies, and solutions to maintain industry leadership

• 5+ years of experience managing diverse project types including e-commerce, campaign photography & video, social media shoots, and post-production
• Experience managing teams within a photo studio or creative operations setting
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and workflows
• Agile, detail-oriented, self-starter capable of multitasking
• Ability to make timely decisions and remain calm under pressure
• Leadership skills with a collaborative approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and client-facing meetings

The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $123,000 annually, based on experience, location, and other factors. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, FSA, HSA, and employee discounts.
