Our customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are available in 90 countries through over 3,100 company-operated stores, nearly 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites, and the company continues to grow.
We are seeking a Studio & Merchandise Assistant on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.
The Studio & Merchandise Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the creative studio and visual merchandising team. Responsibilities include managing and checking in samples, maintaining studio organization, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize seasonal product samples for the creative studio and visual merchandising team.
- Track sample arrivals, maintain accurate records, and communicate delays or issues.
- Assemble and maintain sample racks and closets for accessibility and organization.
- Support studio set preparation and ensure overall studio cleanliness and efficiency.
- Assist with seasonal projects and coordinate sample donations with the visual merchandising team.
- Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and team goals.
- Support photographing studio samples.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail, studio, or sample management preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, email, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong accountability and attention to data accuracy.
