CACI is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Senior UI/UX Developer with Agile experience to join our Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Land Border Integration (LBI) team in Northern Virginia. Join a passionate group supporting best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As part of the ITI2.1 Team, you will support efforts to safeguard the American people and enhance national security. CBP Officers and Border Patrol agents work daily to protect our nation through coordinated activities.
Our agile programs foster innovation and seek individuals who bring creative solutions to complex technical and procedural challenges. Adaptability and effective collaboration with diverse, remote teams are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Prototyping and developing UI features for the front-end application platform.
- Creating dashboards for reporting and monitoring systems.
- Collaborating with developers and engineers using participatory design and agile methodologies.
- Ensuring applications meet IT Accessibility Standards.
- Mapping workflows, creating wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and UI specifications.
- Designing visual elements like icons and graphics.
- Evaluating designs through user-centric reviews and walkthroughs.
- Sharing current trends in design and usability across teams.
- Engaging with stakeholders to discuss user requirements and present designs.
Qualifications include:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass CBP background checks.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of UI/UX experience.
- Experience in wireframing, prototyping, and UI design tools.
- Proficiency in web design and modern JavaScript frameworks (VueJS, Angular, React).
- Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508).
- Experience with Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Availability for hybrid work in Sterling, VA.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in MIS or Computer Science.
- Experience with Objective C, Flash, HTML, APIs, GUI development.
