Job Summary
We are looking for a temporary Purchasing Expeditor to work through the end of 2025. This role serves as a liaison between the purchasing team and suppliers, resolving delivery issues, updating delivery schedules, and supporting production planning by prioritizing critical items.
Job Description
Track, trace, and expedite delivery of purchase orders by reviewing daily activity reports and contacting suppliers and shippers to ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on the specified shipping date Monitor and manage shipments until completion Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments & documentation Communicate with Sales and the Operations Team as needed to determine and relay delivery information Assists other departments with problem resolution involving discrepancies between purchase order, delivered quantity, quality and/or price Maintain up-to-date PO delivery dates and aftermarket SO ship dates in ERP system Resolution on material returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes with suppliers Escalation of complex issues to the Procurement Leader The above statements are intended to describe the essential functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job. Prior experience in purchasing or expediting Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient in ERP system and Microsoft Excel Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Top Skills Required:
Profound understanding of supply chain Must have at least 1-2 years of experience specifically with purchasing and expediting Previous ERP system experience (1-2 years); JDE is highly preferred Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Great computer skills overall Must have a high attention to detail Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Must be adaptable and have a high willingness to learn Education/Training/Certifications
High School diploma or GED Additional Requirements
Schedule: Day Shift, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (with 1 hour lunchbreak). No overtime expected Pay Rate/Salary
$21.00 - $22.00/hr.
