JOSA (Jordan Open Source Association) is a Jordanian non-profit dedicated to the promotion of open technologies and the defense of technology users rights, particularly in the fields of digital safety, privacy, and open knowledge.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support civil society organizations through digital capacity building, JOSA is seeking a Graphic Designer to assist in the creation of educational and visual content in both Arabic and English for an e-learning pathway hosted on our LMS based on Moodle. This includes developing visually engaging assets, adapting them for digital learning platforms, and ensuring alignment with accessibility and usability standards.

This call targets freelance or project-based contractors.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer Will Collaborate Closely With JOSA To

• Design consistent and accessible visual elements for the LMS and learning materials, including:
• Headers, icons, banners, and illustrations for each module
• Visual templates for lessons, quizzes, and downloadable materials
• Develop visual templates for module slides, quizzes.
• Create banners and promotional assets for publishing the e-learning path online and across social media platforms.
• Design badges that learners will gain upon successful completion of courses/achievements.
• Ensure visual consistency across all design elements, including typography, color usage, and layout.
• Deliver graphics in web-optimized formats and provide editable source files (e.g., SVG, AI, or Figma).
• Collaborate on the design of interactive or visual elements for:
• Moodle home page / dashboard layout
• Navigation buttons and UI components (if needed)
• Provide light design support during the rollout phase of the e-learning path.
• Ensure accessibility, context-awareness and cultural sensitivity of all designs, and designs in both Arabic and English when suitable.
  

Deliverables

• A complete set of graphic assets for the e-learning modules, including:
• Icons, illustrations, and templates for Moodle content
• A visual version of the glossary and competency framework
• Social media and promotional graphics for launching the e-learning path
• Editable source files of all assets (Figma, Illustrator, or compatible)
• Final delivery of assets in both high-resolution and web-optimized formats
• Design components ready to be used by JOSAs team (front-end engineers, LMS managers), teachers and social media managers.
• Deliverables with textual elements should be provided in both Arabic and English.
  

Timeline

The work is expected to begin immediately upon signing the contract.

All deliverables must be completed no later than September 15, 2025.
