Within the Downstream and Global Chemicals marketing team, the Marketing Director will lead the Petrochemicals market segment team to develop our value proposition for the core product line, drive and manage segment innovation, support Total Value Delivery (TVD) delivering topline growth, and create margin expansion. The role focuses on customer-focused innovation, project execution, and financial tracking, working closely with R&D, marketing, sales, supply chain, and digital teams.

The Marketing Director will serve as a project leader to help the Petrochemicals team create, capture, and communicate positive impacts to help our customers reach ESG and total cost of operation goals. This role reports to the Global VP Marketing for Downstream and Global Chemicals, based in Houston, Texas, supporting global and regional markets with market intelligence and best practices.

What You Will Do
  1. Manage and develop the Petrochemicals segment team.
  2. Create a global market segment strategy to identify growth opportunities and implement plans for products and programs.
  3. Gather customer feedback for innovation ideas, review and drive the innovation portfolio, and lead new product launches.
  4. Coordinate with regions to execute launched innovations and understand regional market needs.
  5. Manage activities related to the existing product portfolio, raw material strategies, productivity, and supply chain.
  6. Ensure compliance with product-specific regulations and accurate representation of Ecolab.
  7. Work with PLM on product issues, forecasting, supply, margin improvement, and lifecycle management.
  8. Develop and execute case studies and promotional activities, including trade shows and marketing campaigns.
  9. Leverage cross-functional teams to align customer needs with technological capabilities.
  10. Track key performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  11. Engage with industry associations to establish thought leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • 10 years of professional experience in a B2B environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or similar, preferably in STEM
  • Strong communication skills and experience with executive presentations
  • Fluent in English; multilingual skills are a plus
  • Ability to lead in a global matrix organization and build relationships across functions
  • Solid business acumen and financial understanding
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $141,900 - $212,900, with potential bonuses and incentives. Benefits are comprehensive and competitive. Details available on our benefits page.
